For the DRZ400 to perform as shown in the video above, please select all upgrade option checkboxes above.

  • Gas tank nipple (for the stock gas switch to work properly)
  • TPS sensor (ready to plug into the Suzuki wiring harness)
  • New adaptor boots.
  • Tuned for each order (IMPORTANT: Please include info on the checkout page such as elevation, bike mods, mileage, and riding style)
  • Upgraded float bowl (for the fuel flow at any angle that the bike is leaned: whips, wheelies, off-roading, etc.)
  • Correct needle (allows for a smooth power band and the ability to pull endos without stalling the engine)
  • Note that this carb will still run great without any upgrade options selected, with a gain of 10% power over the stock option. When all upgrade options are selected, there is an additional 10% increase in overall power with perfect throttle response.

  3. Philip T. (verified owner)

Better than expected results! Should have done this years ago. Not often things live up to your expectations, but this exceeds them.

  4. Bill Styles

my bike is a 2001 so i dont need anything fancy just wanted to wheelie better around my city. this carb did that and more, Boston did recommend running the TPS but I didn’t wanna pay 150 for a wire. I did end up buying it last week as I ordered some other brake parts from them and was surprised how the bike revved up a lot quicker! man this Is fun wish there was more mods to do on this bike!

    • Boston Morse (store manager)

THANKS BILL, now that it’s fast how about we make it light up the night with some trick LEDs!

I live in Florida, but take trips to Colorado and Utah. Do I need to rejet the FCR 39 carb for trips to higher elevation? Guy Fowler asked on July 30, 2023

We just take the cover off when going above 6000ft up to 8500 ft with no issues when just adding more air flow!

I just bought a 2022 drz400sm. I have an mrd exhaust on the way and plan on airbox mod. I want to go ahead and get a bigger carb with all the fixings from you. My question is which carb do I get? 39 or 41? What are the differences? Does one just give more power with all the same characteristics? Earl Walker asked on December 10, 2021

Hi, the smaller carb will allow for quicker revving at 3,000 rpm and lower. 41mm+ carbs have more power from 4000 all the way past overrev for more top end and tourque.

I am looking at upgrading the carb on my 2000 DRZ400SY. I have a 434 BB kit, with stock everything else (exhaust, valve train, throttle assy, etc) and the 3x3 mod. I also have an aftermarket tank and petcock so I won't necessarily need the vacuum line. Will this carb work? Nathan asked on August 16, 2021

Hey Nathan!  Yes, that's correct - this carb would work for your bike/setup.  Thanks!
